Automation and dataization are the development direction of self-adhesive printing equipment in the future. Microcomputers and sensing technologies applied to multi-color offset printing presses will be widely used in self-adhesive printing equipment to achieve the monitoring of the amount of ink. Multi-color printing scanning alignment, automatic paper roll control, signal bar data quality monitoring, printed graphic dynamic monitoring system and dynamic density meter. Advanced technology will also be applied to label printers.
High-speed, multi-color, multi-function and hybrid printing, special printing, is also the development direction of self-adhesive printing equipment in the future. As with ordinary printing equipment, the circular press printing method will gradually replace the flat pressure and flat printing method of the pre-existing application.
The development of special printing processes that are not specific to the properties of plastic materials, reforming traditional processes is one of the contributions of self-adhesive printing to the printing industry. At present, the countries in Western Europe generally adopt the self-adhesive printing decal process. In addition to the function of self-adhesive label printing on their special equipment, they also add processes such as printing varnish, coating adhesive, and anti-adhesive paper. The self-adhesive decals are printed, coated, and cut until the finished product is finished, which greatly shortens the process flow and decal production cycle, improves the working environment, and enables the traditional hydration decal printing to be updated.
The use of program control and laser technology to produce die-cut plates has been reported in the literature. The application of this new technology will greatly improve the manufacturing quality and cycle of the drum-type die-cutting rolls, and have a certain promotion effect on the development of circular-pressure circular rotary printing equipment.
Increasing the three-dimensionality of self-adhesive labels is one of the directions for self-adhesive printing in the future. At present, the following methods are generally adopted internationally to achieve this goal.
First, self-adhesive holographic printing: the use of stereo laser holography technology to produce a stereo image of the printed matter.
Second, the self-adhesive refractive printing gold and silver film or gold and silver paper as the substrate, relying on the EDT pattern, the two angles of the same angle, the light reflection angle is different, the lung stereoscopic image effect.
Third, increase the thickness of the ink layer to make the label three-dimensional: currently commonly used screen printing to achieve, the thickness of the ink layer can reach 1 mm.
Fourth, the surface of the self-adhesive label drip technology: according to the geometry of the finished label, a certain thickness of polyurethane is dripped to increase the three-dimensional sense. And the label after dripping has a certain softness and is easy to paste. At present, this technology has been widely applied in developed countries such as Japan and Italy.
